Where can government officials, compliance agents, tax specialists and anyone else working in the regulation of licensed cannabis facilities get compliance training?   Answer:  right in your office.  Certified Cannabis Compliance Training, Inc., offers both self paced and live online training classes for the Certified Compliance Officer exam, or training for compliance specialists.

When can government officials get cannabis compliance training?     Answer:  For the self paced course, they can start anytime they would like.   All of the modules are online, and are completely self paced.   For those people who feel more comfortable with a live instructor, we have a training schedule below that covers the three day course.

The purpose of The Certified Compliance Officer Audit Manual and Study Guidebook is to help the reader to become familiar with the basics of compliance audits so that they can actually perform these types of audits for a fee.  The training in the modules and the guidebook will enable any government official to perform a compliance audit, understands its elements, its principles and how to utilize the over 500 pages of compliance checklists to ensure public safety.

What is a cannabis compliance audit?

An audit is:

‘a systematic, independent and documented verification process of objectively obtaining and evaluating audit evidence to determine whether specified criteria are met’.

The specified criteria in cannabis compliance audits conducted by Certified Compliance Officers are generally the legal and regulatory requirements of each state, county, or other jurisdictional branch that either licenses or regulates the licensee.

What tools do we use for compliance training?    There are two primary tools with subsets within each - the training modules and the guidebook.   Rather than let our graduates go out into licensed facilities without the proper tools, we have attempted to provide them both in the teaching modules and the lectures, with real world examples, and within the guidebooks are actual worksheets, compliance audit documentation, and sample reports, information gathering tools and sample documents that need to be prepared for the client.    Let's look at some of these.

EXHIBIT A - ANALYZING THE STATE'S REGULATIONS

Compliance audits revolve around reviewing the state's regulations and ensuring the client/licensee is observing the laws and rules pertinent to their business.   How do you analyze a law to understand what it requires, and whether or not it is being observed?   Below is a copy of a page in the book that provides the statute number, the activity/process that is covers, the compliance required, and any compliance auditor observations.   This methods allows the compliance officer to build a database of necessary tools and checklists for do a thorough compliance check.    Below is an excerpt from the chapter in the guidebook about analyzing a state's laws.
