The purpose of The Certified Compliance Officer Audit Manual and Study Guidebook is to help the reader to become familiar with the basics of compliance audits so that they can actually perform these types of audits for a fee. The training in the modules and the guidebook will enable any student to a) perform a compliance audit, understands its elements, its principles and importance in the public sector; b) the intent and purpose of the CCO (Certified Compliance Officer) conducting compliance audits and how they perform the audits and quality control; ways in which licensed cannabis facilities can consider adopting the recommendations and findings of CCO’s in their business, (d) differences between compliance audits and other types of audits and how they can be combined in practice (assuming the correct credentials) and (e) the compliance audit process.



WHAT IS ON THE EXAM?

The exam covers the contents of the book and the lessons/lectures.   Not every part of the body of knowledge is tested - rather it is important to understand the definitions of specific audit language, and how to apply them to an actual compliance audit.

c. Errors, fraud, and noncompliance with laws with a direct effect on the operation.

The review course is taught over three days, either online on scheduled dates (see below) or in person in different cities.   Please check back for updates on when and where we will host the review live.    The review course consists of lectures, Powerpoint slides,  and working on handouts along with review questions to prepare students for immediate testing after the finish of the course.      There will be an hour for lunch, and the instructor will be available till at least 7 o'clock each day of the review to provide answers to any questions students might have.
